This is Marks first season as manager of a junior football team.He is ably assisted by Ray Reynolds who has vast footballing experience and has helped coach a number of Grove Farm teams in the past. As an aside Ray is keen to play down current rumours that he actually played football on the deck of the ark with Noah in goal! Both Mark and Ray hold the Level 1 Certficate in coaching football and have completed the F.A Emergency Aid course, the F.A child protection workshop and both are CRB checked to the enhanced level. Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
